Szentgróti Dávid (1980-): Váltás (Shift), 2017
Acrylic and pigment on canvas, 197 × 155 cm Signed on the reverse: Szentgróti Dávid Váltás 2017
Váltás is a monumental canvas by Dávid Szentgróti, a distinctive voice in contemporary Hungarian painting. Painted in 2017 and nearly two metres tall, the work has a strong physical presence in any space it occupies. Acrylic and pigment together give it a rich, layered surface. It would be a defining piece in a contemporary collection or a prominent interior.
