
The Bodó Gallery and Auction House’s 15th Winter Auction welcomes art lovers and collectors on two consecutive evenings. Presenting more than 320 lots, the auction spans from 19th-century Hungarian and European classical art through 20th-century classical modernism to post-war and the latest contemporary works, offering a comprehensive panorama of more than a century of artistic creation.
Day 1 – 9 December (Lots 1–149)
The first evening focuses on 19th-century Hungarian and European classical art as well as key movements of 20th-century classical modernism. The selection includes significant works by Géza Vastagh, Béla Pállik, László Pataky, Béla Kádár, Rudolf Swoboda, and Hugó Scheiber, along with rare Zsolnay ceramics.
Day 2 – 10 December (Lots 150–322)
The second evening highlights major figures of post-war modern and contemporary Hungarian art. The selection includes works by László Bornemisza, Gyula Szabó, Endre Szász, Tamás Lossonczy, and Tamás Galambos, reflecting the era’s rich diversity from lyrical abstraction and surrealism to constructive and postmodern approaches.
